The “triangle of youth” might sound to some like something mythical out of folklore, reminding some of stories like the fountain of youth. When we are young our cheeks are naturally full of fat and collagen and a full face equals a youthful face. As we age, or even after a substantial weight loss, we tend to lose the fat in our cheeks.
