Dermal Fillers for Fine Lines

Dermal fillers involve the injection of a substance, that is found naturally in your body, into the skin in order to add volume to areas of the face or the lips and to treat fine lines and achieve wrinkle reduction.

In times past, the only way to lift sagging skin and see some wrinkle reduction was through expensive and permanent surgical procedures.
Today, injectable dermal fillers are popular facial rejuvenation treatments used for softening wrinkles, laughter lines, facial fine lines and wrinkles caused by ageing or sun exposure. Dermal fillers give your face natural volume and leave your skin feeling hydrated and youthful. Dermal injections can also restore volume lost in the tops of the hands, giving hands a more youthful look.
Dermal skin fillers can also be used for cheek enhancement and lip enhancement.
How is the procedure performed?
Dermal filler injections are a non-surgical procedure performed in our comfortable office. Your initial treatment will begin with a consultation, during which we will meet with you to discuss your concerns and goals.
Just before the actual treatment, the area will be cleaned, and you may be given a topical anesthetic to numb the area prior to injection. Many filler products also contain lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, which is intended to help minimize discomfort during and after your treatment. A precise amount of filler will be strategically injected beneath the skin.
Depending on the product and the areas treated, you should be able to notice results immediately after receiving filler injections. Some patients experience mild bruising and swelling, but these are temporary and should subside over the days following treatment. You will be able to go back to your normal activities right after treatment, but may have to take the day off from exercise or other strenuous activity.
